Eindhoven Airport guide

Eindhoven Airport is located 7.6 km west of Eindhoven city centre, in the province of North Brabant. It is the second-busiest airport in the Netherlands by passenger volume, handling 6.8 million passengers in 2024 across 79 destinations and 40,826 aircraft movements. The airport shares its single 3,000-metre runway with Eindhoven Air Base, a dual-use civil-military arrangement in which the runway, control tower and fire service are provided by the Royal Netherlands Air Force base.

The airport is operated by Eindhoven Airport N.V. and owned by Royal Schiphol Group (51%), the Province of North Brabant (24.5%) and the City of Eindhoven (24.5%). It is served mostly by the low-cost carriers Ryanair, Transavia and Wizz Air. The terminal was designed for 5 million passengers a year, and construction of an expansion from 27,300 to 35,000 square metres began in November 2024.

A runway renovation will close the airport to all civil and military flights from 1 February to 19 July 2027. The works widen the runway, add a taxi track on its east side and install an improved instrument landing system.
