Ramata Airport guide

Ramata Airport is a small airstrip on Ramata Island in Western Province, Solomon Islands. Its IATA code is RBV and its ICAO code is AGRM. The island is a narrow strip of land about 4 km long and less than 500 m wide, just off New Georgia.

Ramata forms part of the chain of islands that separates the northern part of Marovo Lagoon from the Solomon Sea. Marovo Lagoon is described as the longest island-fringed lagoon in the world, and a sports fishing lodge run by Solomon Islanders on the island caters to visitors.

Solomon Airlines serves the airport with a weekly flight. The flight from Honiara takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. Travellers should confirm the current schedule with the airline before planning a trip, as the service is infrequent.
