Porbandar Airport guide

Porbandar Airport serves Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, on the Arabian Sea coast of western Gujarat. It lies about 5 km east of the city at 5 m above sea level. The Airports Authority of India owns and runs it.

Direct flights to Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai operated from the 1980s until they stopped in 2020. Daily flights to Mumbai restarted in March 2025 with SpiceJet. Alliance Air also flies to Mumbai and to Keshod.

Traffic is small. In the 2025-26 financial year the airport handled 10,935 passengers and 320 aircraft movements, and it carried no cargo. The single asphalt runway, 09/27, is 1,372 m long, which suits turboprops and narrow-body jets on short sectors. The terminal building opened in April 2008. It covers 4,000 sq m and has six check-in counters and two baggage belts in the arrivals hall. It can handle 100 arriving and 100 departing passengers at a time.
