Rajkot International Airport guide
Updated 2026-09-24Rajkot International Airport opened on 27 July 2023 at Hirasar, about 36 km east of Rajkot along National Highway 47, and took over all scheduled commercial flights from the city's older Rajkot Airport that September. The Airports Authority of India built the greenfield facility for roughly ₹2,654 crore (US$280 million), giving Gujarat's Saurashtra region its first airport able to handle widebody aircraft.
