Romeu Zema Airport is a small municipal airport in the Alto Paranaíba region of Minas Gerais. It sits at 998 metres above sea level, about 5 km from the centre of Araxá, on Avenida Olavo Drummond. The airport is named after a local entrepreneur. Its ICAO code is SBAX.

The single asphalt runway, 16/34, is 1,900 metres long and 30 metres wide. The airport handles day and night operations under visual and instrument approach procedures. The municipality manages the airport under a concession from the national civil aviation secretariat.

Scheduled service is limited. Azul Conecta flies ATR turboprops to Belo Horizonte-Confins and São Paulo-Guarulhos. Commercial flights resumed in June 2023 after a three-year suspension that began in 2020, and from July 2024 the airport had nine weekly departures. Around 30,000 passengers used the airport in 2024, its best year in 12 years. Tourism accounts for about half of commercial demand, driven by Araxá's events calendar. The airport also handles executive flights and private aircraft.
