La Gomera Airport Guide
La Gomera Airport sits on the south coast of the island, close to the village of Playa Santiago. The runway was completed in 1994 and the passenger terminal opened in 1999. The island's capital, San Sebastián de La Gomera, lies across the mountainous interior, so most ground trips from the airport are long and winding.
The airport handled 120,707 passengers in 2024, up 6.5% on 2023. Binter Canarias flies the route network, with daily return services to Tenerife North and Gran Canaria. There are no international flights, and customs and immigration are not available.
The airport has a single asphalt runway, 09/27, measuring 1,500 by 30 metres. It operates in daylight hours under an aerodrome flight information service only, called La Gomera Información on 118.375 MHz, with no air traffic control, and the aerodrome is closed to aircraft without radio. Aena operates the airport as part of its Spanish network, and the airport is about 34 km by road from San Sebastián de La Gomera.
