Fuerteventura Airport (IATA: FUE, ICAO: GCFV), also known as El Matorral Airport, sits on the eastern coast of Fuerteventura island, 5 km southwest of the island capital Puerto del Rosario. The single-terminal facility covers over 92,000 m² and has a design capacity of 8.2 million passengers per year. In 2025 it handled nearly 6.9 million passengers across 55,342 aircraft movements.

The airport serves primarily leisure traffic, with Germany and the United Kingdom together accounting for more than half of all international flights. Ryanair, Jet2, easyJet, TUI, Vueling, Condor, and Iberia are among the leading carriers, connecting Fuerteventura to over 70 destinations across Europe and mainland Spain. Domestic routes link the island to Gran Canaria, Madrid, Tenerife Norte, and Barcelona.

Fuerteventura Airport opened in 1969 and is operated by Aena, Spain's state-owned airport authority. The single runway (01/19) measures 3,406 metres, capable of accommodating wide-body jets. A major terminal expansion completed in the 2000s brought the current building with 24 boarding gates.
