César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport sits 5 km west of Arrecife, the island's capital, within the municipality of San Bartolomé. With 8.7 million passengers in 2024, it ranks as the third busiest airport in the Canary Islands. The airport serves a heavily tourism-driven route network, with the majority of traffic arriving from the United Kingdom and Germany.

Opened provisionally to civilian traffic in 1946 after beginning as a military airfield, the airport's current terminal was inaugurated in 1999 with capacity for over 7 million passengers per year. In 2019 the airport was renamed to honour César Manrique, the Lanzarote-born artist and architect whose work defines much of the island's character.

The airport operates a single runway. Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2, TUI Airways, British Airways, and Vueling dominate the international schedule. Inter-island services within the Canary Islands operate from a separate, smaller terminal.
