Santa Magalhães Airport serves Serra Talhada, a city in the Sertão do Pajeú region of inland Pernambuco. It lies about 18 km from the city centre. The ICAO code is SNHS and the Brazilian identifier is PE0005. It is also listed as Serra Talhada Airport.
There is a single asphalt runway, 13/31, 1,800 m long, at an elevation of 470 m. Infracea ran the airport until May 2022, when Dix took over. GRU Airport won the concession for it on 27 November 2025.
The state government has been rebuilding the airfield. The first stage, worth R$ 17 million, covered runway earthworks, runway safety areas and a perimeter fence. A second stage extends the taxiway and aircraft apron and adds air navigation equipment. The aim is to take aircraft of up to 120 passengers, up from the 12-passenger aircraft Azul has flown here. Wikipedia lists no scheduled flights at present, so check with the airline before planning a trip.
