Oscar Laranjeira Airport serves Caruaru, the main city of the Agreste region of Pernambuco. It sits about 5 km from the city centre and is also listed as Caruaru Airport. The ICAO code is SNRU and the Brazilian identifier is PE0004.

The airport was commissioned in 1985. Its apron collapsed under aircraft weight in 2000 and again in 2002, and the airport stayed closed from 2003 to 2006 while the apron was repaired. Dix Empreendimentos has operated it since May 2022, taking over from Infracea.

There is a single asphalt runway, 13/31, 1,800 m long, at an elevation of 576 m. Scheduled service is a short hop to Recife flown by Azul Conecta with small Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft. Recife is roughly 137 km away by road.

The Pernambuco state government authorised a R$ 96 million project in March 2026. It extends the runway by 450 m to 2,250 m and builds a new passenger terminal and apron, with a planned execution period of 420 days. Earthworks were under way in July 2026.
