Appleton International Airport Guide
Appleton International Airport sits in the town of Greenville, Wisconsin, west of the city of Appleton, in the Fox Cities region. It is owned by Outagamie County and was dedicated on August 22, 1965, with Air Wisconsin starting service shortly after.
The field has two concrete runways laid out in an X. Runway 3/21 is 8,003 feet long and runway 12/30 is 6,502 feet. A multi-phase terminal expansion that began in November 2023 brings the airport to ten gates with jet bridges.
Passenger numbers passed one million for the first time in 2024 and rose again in 2025, to about 1.3 million. Allegiant operates a base here and flies the most routes, with nonstop leisure service to Florida, Nevada, Arizona and other destinations. Delta, United and American Eagle connect travelers to hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Denver, Chicago, Charlotte and Dallas. Sun Country added seasonal service to Fort Myers in 2026. Most of the airport's aircraft operations are general aviation, with the remainder split between air taxi, commercial airline and military flights.
