Suntar Airport guide

Suntar Airport serves the village of Suntar, the administrative centre of the Suntarsky District in the Sakha Republic, in eastern Siberia. The airfield lies on the northern edge of the village, at an elevation of about 129 m, and a concrete road links it to the settlement. The operator's address is Prospekt Zvereva 1.

There is one runway, 17/35. Sources disagree on its size and surface. The operator lists a class G strip of 1,600 by 60 m, while Russian Wikipedia gives 1,800 by 75 m on unpaved ground. The operator's page names the aircraft it accepts, including the An-2, L-410, An-24, An-26, An-140, Yak-40 and Dash 8 Q300 in winter, plus helicopters of all types. Backup power covers all airport facilities, and no aircraft are based here.

The airfield dates from 1948. Scheduled flights run to Yakutsk, flown by Polar Airlines and Yakutia. Passenger traffic was 11,303 in 2017 and stayed between 10,700 and 11,400 over the four years from 2014. The passenger terminal is built for 35 people at a time.
