Turukhansk Airport guide

Turukhansk Airport (ICAO UOTT) serves the village of Turukhansk in the north of Krasnoyarsk Krai, on the Yenisei River. It sits about 2 km west of the village. There are no roads or railways to the region, and river navigation stops during ice drift in spring and autumn, so the airport is the only link with the rest of the country in those periods.

The single concrete runway, 13/31, measures 1,800 by 28 m. It takes light and medium aircraft such as the An-24, An-26, An-28, An-32, Yak-40 and ATR 42, along with all helicopter types, up to a maximum take-off weight of 36 tonnes. A new terminal building was commissioned in autumn 2014. It was assembled from 56 factory-made block modules that were brought up the Yenisei by barge in early summer that year.

The airport handles local traffic. KrasAvia flies to Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo, and UTair operates scheduled flights to Igarka and service flights to Tyumen Roschino. A helicopter service to Igarka runs every two weeks. Passenger numbers have declined from about 23,300 in 2014 to about 19,600 in 2017.
