Yeniseysk Airport guide

Yeniseysk Airport serves the town of Yeniseysk in Krasnoyarsk Krai, central Siberia. It lies about 5 km northwest of the town, on the left bank of the Yenisey River. Its ICAO code is UNII. The airfield opened in 1934 and holds a Class 3 rating.

The single asphalt-concrete runway, 17/35, measures 2,190 by 42 m. It handles helicopters and light and medium aircraft such as the An-2, An-24 and Yak-40. Scheduled fixed-wing passenger flights ended around 2017. In the 1970s the airport had services to Krasnoyarsk and Norilsk and an Il-18 flight to Moscow.

Today the scheduled service is Mi-8 helicopter flying to settlements in Yeniseysk District, run by Aerogeo. Routes include Mayskoye, Yartsevo, Krivlyak, Makovskoye and Ust-Pit. The airport also supports firefighting, air-ambulance and on-demand flights. Traffic was 11,271 passengers in 2014 and about 8,100 in 2023. A new terminal building has been reported open, and the field is known for its line of retired Soviet-era aircraft.
