Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport is Lebanon's only commercial airport, located 9 km south of downtown Beirut. It has operated continuously since 1954, except for periodic closures during regional conflicts. The airport is named after former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, who was assassinated in 2005.

The airport is structured around a single U-shaped terminal with East and West wings, totalling 23 gates, 19 of which have jetways. Middle East Airlines dominates operations, accounting for around 40% of capacity and over 60% of movements. Scheduled destinations include major hubs across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.

In 2023, the airport handled over 7.1 million passengers across 57,159 aircraft movements. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation manages the facility. A Fast Track expansion of the western terminal was underway in 2024 to address overcapacity.
