Nusawiru Airport guide

Nusawiru Airport, also listed as Cijulang Nusawiru Airport or Pangandaran Airport (ICAO WICN), is in Cijulang, Pangandaran Regency, on the south coast of West Java. It is the nearest airport to the Pangandaran area, a beach and river-tourism destination.

The airport has one asphalt runway, 07/25, 1,400 metres long, at 5 metres above sea level. It is operated and managed by UPT Ditjen Hubud, an agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation.

Susi Air uses the airport as a main base and maintenance facility and operates the scheduled services, which Wikipedia lists to Bandung Husein Sastranegara and Jakarta Halim Perdanakusuma. Susi Air has also advertised Jakarta to Pangandaran flights from Pondok Cabe Airport. The site is also a training location for Pangandaran parachute athletes.

The Bojong Salawe port under construction lies about 1 km from the airport, in its flight path, and the government has said it will study making the airport usable from both directions. Check current flight times with Susi Air before travelling, as routes have changed several times.
