La Môle Airport Guide
La Môle Airport (ICAO LFTZ) lies in the Massif des Maures, between the villages of La Môle and Cogolin in the Var department. It serves the Saint-Tropez peninsula, about 15 km to the northeast. The aerodrome was created in 1964 as a light-aviation and business-aviation field. Regular seasonal international flights began in 1994, with Crossair linking it to Geneva and then Zurich.
The airport has one asphalt runway, 06/24, 1,071 m long and 30 m wide, of which about 930 m is usable. A 750 m² terminal with a bar handles up to 40,000 passengers a year. A control tower and a terrace restaurant were added in 2007. Opening hours are 8:00 to 19:00 in summer and 9:00 to 17:00 in winter, and flights need 24 hours' prior notice. Non-Schengen flights are allowed from 1 July to 15 October.
Traffic is mostly business jets and private aircraft, with a summer peak. In 2023 the airport recorded 9,691 passengers and 9,576 movements, split almost evenly between commercial and non-commercial flights. Air Mountain flies seasonally to Geneva and Sion. Toulon-Hyères is the nearest large airport, 46 km away.
