Fabio Alberto Leon Bentley Airport guide

Fabio Alberto León Bentley Airport (IATA: MVP, ICAO: SKMU) serves Mitú, the capital of the Vaupés Department in southeastern Colombia. It sits beside the Vaupés River and runs along the entire length of the town, at an elevation of about 210 metres (680 feet) above sea level.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, 02/20, about 1,880 metres (6,168 feet) long, which Wikipedia describes as sufficient for medium-sized passenger jets and military transport aircraft. Only domestic flights operate here, and the airport has no published passenger statistics.

SATENA, the state-backed regional carrier, flies scheduled services to Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport and to Vanguardia Airport in Villavicencio. Those are the only scheduled routes listed in the sources checked. Schedules in this region change often, so confirm flights with the airline before you travel, and allow extra time at the airport in case a departure is delayed or rescheduled by the weather.
