Brisbane Airport sits on 2,700 hectares of reclaimed land at the mouth of the Brisbane River, about 16 km northeast of the city centre. It is Australia's third-busiest airport by passenger numbers, handling 23.3 million passengers in 2024 across 218,000 aircraft movements.
