Xiangxi Biancheng Airport guide

Xiangxi Biancheng Airport serves Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in western Hunan Province. It stands in Huayuan Town, Huayuan County, about 35 kilometres from the prefectural capital Jishou. The airport opened to passenger flights on 18 August 2023, after preliminary work that began in 2013. The site covers about 235 hectares.

The airport has one concrete runway, 04/22, which is 2,600 metres long and rated 4C. The terminal covers 11,000 square metres, with five aircraft stands and three boarding bridges. It handles domestic flights only.

In 2025 the airport recorded 361,027 passengers and 3,664 aircraft movements. Tianjin Airlines, West Air, Ruili Airlines, Colorful Guizhou Airlines, Beijing Capital Airlines and China United Airlines fly from here. Routes reach Chengdu Tianfu, Xi'an, Kunming, Haikou, Zhengzhou, Ningbo, Quanzhou, Huizhou, Shenyang and Beijing Daxing.
