Shaoyang Wugang Airport guide

Shaoyang Wugang Airport sits in Wugang, Hunan, about 9 km north of the centre of Wugang. It serves Wugang and the wider Shaoyang prefecture, whose urban centre lies roughly 100 km away. The airport opened on 28 June 2017 with a China Southern Airlines flight from Changsha.

The airfield has one concrete runway, 2,600 m long and 45 m wide. The terminal covers about 3,000 square metres, a small building suited to the regional service the airport provides.

Traffic is light. The airport handled 154,032 passengers and 1,943 aircraft movements in 2024. Scheduled flights are limited to a few domestic routes. Shenzhen Airlines flies to Chengdu Tianfu and Shenzhen, and Air China flies to Beijing Capital. Check current schedules before travelling, as routes at airports of this size change often.
