Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport is located 17 km west of Old Quebec, in the Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge borough. The airport ranks 12th-busiest in Canada by passenger volume and handled 1.7 million passengers in 2024. It has two active runways and a single integrated terminal with 17 gates.
The airport opened its first commercial terminal in 1957, with jet service introduced in 1964. Management transferred from Transport Canada to local operator Aéroport de Québec inc. in 2000. Air Transat, Air Canada, and WestJet carry the largest share of traffic. The airport improvement fee of $40 per departing passenger is among the highest in Canada.
