Rouyn Noranda Airport guide

Rouyn-Noranda Airport (ICAO CYUY), also called the Aéroport régional de Rouyn-Noranda, serves the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of northwestern Quebec. It sits at an elevation of 301 m (988 ft), about 16 km east of the city centre. The City of Rouyn-Noranda owns the airport.

Its single paved runway, 08/26, measures 2,286 m (7,500 ft) by 45.7 m (150 ft). Runway 08 has a localizer and runway 26 has an ODALS approach lighting system. A new terminal of more than 3,100 m² has a single security checkpoint and a single boarding gate, and it roughly tripled the space available to users.

The airport handles more than 100,000 passengers a year and nearly 20,000 aircraft movements. Air Canada Express flies to Montréal-Trudeau, Air Liaison links the city with Québec City and Val-d'Or, and Propair serves Gatineau, Montréal, Québec City, Toronto Billy Bishop and North Bay. Glencore runs charter flights to its northern mine sites. Propair also owns two hangars on the site, and a 1,400-space pay-and-display lot serves travellers.
