Araraquara Airport, officially Bartholomeu de Gusmão State Airport (ICAO SBAQ), opened in 1935 and sits about 6 km from the centre of Araraquara in the interior of São Paulo State. It is named after Bartolomeu Lourenço de Gusmão, the Brazilian-born Portuguese priest who experimented with balloon flight in the early 18th century.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, designated 17/35, at an elevation of roughly 712 m. Rede Voa took over operations in 2021 after winning the concession of the state's regional airports at auction, and committed funds to the terminal, navigation systems and fire-fighting equipment.

Scheduled service is limited. Azul resumed flights to Viracopos Airport in Campinas on 14 October 2024, with four daily frequencies of about 50 minutes, giving the Araraquara region a connection to Azul's São Paulo-area hub. The airport also handles air taxi and general aviation traffic.
