Cabo Frio International Airport (ICAO SBCB) serves the Região dos Lagos, the coastal resort area east of Rio de Janeiro. It sits about 8 km from the centre of Cabo Frio, at an elevation of 7 m above sea level.

The airport opened in 1998 as a cargo facility, built by the Rio de Janeiro state government with the Brazilian Air Force. An expansion finished in 2007 added a passenger terminal and a longer runway and apron. A second phase in 2010 added a larger cargo terminal and a dedicated Petrobras terminal for offshore flights to the Campos Basin oil platforms. Offshore flights are a large share of activity, accounting for 77% of the airport's revenue in 2022.

The single asphalt runway, 10/28, is 2,550 m long. Scheduled passenger service is small and seasonal, with Azul flying domestic routes and Aerolíneas Argentinas serving Buenos Aires. Charter flights from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay arrive in the holiday season. The airport recorded 38,512 passengers in 2021.
