José Cleto Airport Guide
José Cleto Airport (ICAO SSUV) is the municipal airport of União da Vitória, in the south of Paraná state. It sits in the São Cristóvão district on Avenida Paula Freitas, about 1 km east of downtown. The city is on the Iguaçu River, opposite Porto União in Santa Catarina.
The airport has a single asphalt runway, 17/35, which Wikipedia lists at 755 m. The Municipality of União da Vitória runs it under the supervision of Aeroportos do Paraná, the state airport body. It has no fuel supply and no runway lighting, so operations are limited to daytime visual flying.
Scheduled flights returned on 22 October 2019 after roughly 50 years without regular service. The Voe Paraná program linked the city to Curitiba's Afonso Pena airport, first with TwoFlex flying for Gol in Cessna Grand Caravans. Azul Conecta now serves the Curitiba route. The state government and the municipality spent R$ 2 million on the airport, including resurfacing the runway, and a runway extension was named as the next step to attract more airlines.
