Una-Comandatuba Airport (IATA UNA, ICAO SBTC) serves the town of Una in southern Bahia and, above all, the Transamérica Comandatuba resort on the adjoining island. The resort is reached by a boat shuttle of about 10 minutes from the airfield, and the airport lies about 16 km from downtown Una.
The airport has one asphalt runway, designated 02/20, listed at 2,000 metres by Wikipedia and 1,900 metres by ANAC. Hotéis Transamérica owns the site and Socicam operates it. In February 2021 ANAC granted Socicam a provisional operating certificate for the airport, which allowed regular commercial flights.
Scheduled flying is domestic and small in scale. Azul began regular service on 26 June 2021, with weekly flights from São Paulo-Congonhas and Belo Horizonte-Confins, and later added a Sunday service from Campinas-Viracopos. The resort takes most of the passengers arriving at Una, so most travellers are guests on pre-arranged transfers and should arrange their transfer with the resort before arrival.
