Coronel Horácio de Mattos Airport (IATA: LEC, ICAO: SBLE) serves Lençóis, the gateway town to Chapada Diamantina National Park in central Bahia, Brazil. It sits about 506 m above sea level and is named after Horácio Queiróz de Mattos, a politician who opposed the Prestes Insurrection.
The airport has one asphalt runway, 14/32, which is 2,082 m long and 30 m wide. Scheduled flights are limited. Azul Brazilian Airlines flies to Salvador and Belo Horizonte-Confins about twice a week, and the Confins route was set to be extended with Thursday and Sunday ATR service from June 2026. Commercial operations were suspended from March 2020 during the pandemic.
GRU Airport won the concession for Lençóis in a November 2025 auction under the federal AmpliAR programme, and the Ministry of Ports and Airports announced R$ 80.3 million in investment to raise terminal capacity. As of August 2026 the operational transition was still awaiting approval by the aviation regulator, ANAC, after which GRU Airport has 90 days to take over full operation.
