Lábrea Airport guide

Lábrea Airport (IATA: LBR, ICAO: SWLB) serves Lábrea, a town on the Purus River in the south of Amazonas state, Brazil. The airport is about 4 to 5 kilometres from the town centre.

It has a single asphalt runway, designated 18/36 and about 1,200 metres long according to Wikipedia. Other listings give a shorter figure of around 1,000 metres, so check the current length with the operator if it matters for your aircraft.

Azul Conecta is the airline serving the airport, with flights to Manaus (Eduardo Gomes International Airport), Porto Velho and Coari. Schedules in this region change often, so confirm current flights with Azul before travelling.

The airport publishes no passenger or aircraft movement statistics, and no official source gives the year it opened. Lábrea lies in the Amazon basin, a long way from the state's main road network, so travellers should check access to the airport and onward transport with local operators before they travel.
