Leonora Airport guide

Leonora Airport sits on the western side of the Leonora townsite in the Goldfields region of Western Australia, about two kilometres from the town centre. The Shire of Leonora owns and runs it as a public airport.

The main runway, 04/22, is sealed and 2,018 metres long. A gravel runway, 12/30, runs 1,140 metres. Mains-powered lighting on the main runway operates around the clock, and Jet A1 fuel is sold from a card-swipe bowser that is open 24 hours a day.

The Shire built the passenger terminal in 1997 and later extended the sealed apron as passenger numbers grew. Private groups can book the terminal through the Shire.

Skippers Aviation flies the scheduled service between Perth and Leonora via Laverton on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Passengers should arrive at least one hour before departure.
