Mustique Airport guide

Mustique Airport (ICAO TVSM) serves Mustique, a privately owned island in the Grenadines of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It sits at the northern end of the island and is the only privately owned airport in the country. Most visitors arrive by air, and a ferry also links the island to Saint Vincent.

The airport began operating in 1969. It has one asphalt runway, 09/27, measuring 992 m by 23 m. The threshold of runway 09 is displaced by 287 m and marked for short take-off and landing aircraft. The runway has no lighting and no instrument landing system, so flights are limited to daytime visual operations and close before sunset. Steep gradients at each end and a hill beside the strip make the approach demanding, and pilots new to the field need a check flight first.

A small single-storey terminal on the southeast side handles passengers, baggage, customs and immigration. An attached two-storey control tower and a lounge for commercially important persons share the building, and a small paved apron sits in front. Mustique Airways, SVG Air and Grenadine Airways fly short hops to Bequia, Canouan, Union Island and Argyle International Airport on Saint Vincent. Traffic is far heavier in winter than in the rest of the year.
