North Central West Virginia Airport sits at 1,224 feet above sea level, just off Interstate 79 in Harrison County. It serves the north-central part of the state, including the Clarksburg, Fairmont and Morgantown area. The field began as Tri-County Airport in 1935, a joint project of Harrison, Marion and Taylor counties. It became Benedum Airport in 1944, named for oilman Michael L. Benedum, and later carried the name Harrison-Marion Regional Airport.

The airport has one runway, 3/21, which is 7,800 feet long. It recorded 33,792 aircraft operations in the year ending September 2021 and 41,067 passenger enplanements in 2025. United Express, operated by SkyWest, flies to Chicago O'Hare and Washington Dulles as the Essential Air Service carrier. Allegiant Air serves Orlando/Sanford and St. Petersburg/Clearwater, with seasonal flights to Destin/Fort Walton Beach and Myrtle Beach.

A new $70 million passenger terminal opened with a ribbon-cutting on August 17, 2026. It replaces a building from the 1960s and is about four times larger, with four gates, indoor baggage claim and more than 500 new parking spaces. A new taxiway links it to the main runway.
