Jackson Regional Airport sits in Madison County, about 7 km west of central Jackson, Tennessee. It was named McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport until December 2024, when the owners renamed it to make the airport easier to find for travellers from outside West Tennessee. The original name honoured Senator Kenneth McKellar. Maj. Robert Ray "Buster" Sipes, an Air Force test pilot from Jackson, was added to it in the 1970s.

The field dates to the winter of 1933-1934, when the Civil Works Administration built its first runways and buildings. The Army Air Forces leased it as a flight training school in 1942. Today the City of Jackson and Madison County own it.

The airport has two asphalt runways. Runway 2/20 measures 6,005 by 150 feet and runway 11/29 measures 3,539 by 100 feet. Scheduled service is limited. Denver Air Connection flies to Chicago O'Hare and Atlanta six days a week under the federal Essential Air Service program. The rest of the traffic is general aviation.
