Memphis International Airport sits 11 km southeast of downtown Memphis in Shelby County, Tennessee. With four runways and a single modernized terminal, MEM is the primary commercial gateway for the Mid-South region, serving nearly 4.9 million passengers in 2024. The airport is operated by the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority and supports a broad mix of carriers including Delta, American, Southwest, United, and several ultra-low-cost airlines.

MEM is best known as the global SuperHub of FedEx Express, handling more air cargo by weight than any other airport in the world.
