Branson Airport sits in the Ozarks of southwest Missouri, about 15 km south-southeast of Branson's central business district. The postal address is in Hollister, in Taney County. It is a privately operated commercial airport on county-owned land, built to serve the Branson tourism market without a drive to Springfield, roughly 100 km to the northwest.

The first scheduled passenger flight landed on May 11, 2009. The terminal covers 58,000 square feet and was designed for 1.4 million passengers a year. A single concrete runway, 14/32, measures 7,140 by 150 feet, long enough for narrow-body jets.

Traffic has fallen well below that design capacity. The FAA recorded 5,626 passengers and 9,910 aircraft operations in 2024. Sun Country Airlines, the last scheduled carrier, ended service after the 2024 season, and no scheduled passenger flights operate now. The field stays open to charter, private and general aviation traffic, with fixed-base operator services through the Branson Jet Center.
