Vladikavkaz Beslan International Airport guide

Vladikavkaz Airport, also called Beslan Airport, is the main air gateway to North Ossetia-Alania. It stands on the plain near the town of Beslan, about 26 km north of Vladikavkaz, and is run by International Airport Vladikavkaz JSC, part of the Novaport holding.

The airport has one asphalt-concrete runway, 09/27, measuring 3,000 by 45 metres, with two taxiways. Passenger flights began in 1936. Traffic has grown steadily: about 566,000 passengers in 2019 became roughly 940,000 in 2024. A new two-storey terminal building opened on 13 December 2022 with a capacity of over one million passengers a year, alongside the older domestic and international terminals.

Most flights go to Moscow, served from Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Domodedovo, with additional routes to Saint Petersburg and, seasonally, Sochi. International flights run to Istanbul and Antalya. Pobeda, S7 Airlines, Ural Airlines, UTair and Red Wings are among the carriers serving the airport. Ground transport to Vladikavkaz is by road, and the airport sits close to the Beslan exit of the main highway through the republic.
