Princess Olga Pskov International Airport guide

Princess Olga Pskov International Airport, also known as Pskov-Kresty, sits inside the city limits of Pskov on ulitsa Germana. A drive to the city centre takes about 10 minutes, depending on traffic.

The airfield dates to the 1930s and has a long military history. It is shared with the Russian air force, which bases the 334th Military Transport Aviation Regiment and its Il-76 aircraft here. After the Second World War, civil flights linked Pskov with Moscow, Leningrad and Riga. Regular civil service largely stopped in the 1990s. International flights resumed in late 1994, and scheduled service returned in May 2007.

The single concrete runway, 01/19, measures 2,514 by 44 metres. The passenger terminal building was completed in 1975 and handles up to 150 passengers per hour. Azimut has served the airport with Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, flying to Moscow Vnukovo, Sochi, Kaliningrad and Mineralnye Vody. Earlier carriers included Pskovavia, S7 Airlines, Red Wings and Nordwind.
