Orsk Airport guide

Orsk Airport serves the city of Orsk in Russia's Orenburg Oblast, close to the border with Kazakhstan. It lies about 17 km south of the city centre. The airfield dates to 1958, and the current runway complex entered service in November 1987.

The main runway, 07/25, is asphalt concrete and measures 2,900 m by 42 m. Two shorter unpaved strips, 650 m and 900 m long, sit beside it. Traffic fell to about 21,400 passengers in 2018, then recovered to a peak of 252,000 in 2022. The airport handled 157,000 passengers in 2024.

A temporary modular baggage-claim building was added in 2023. A reconstruction of the airport complex began in 2024 and is planned to run until 2027, with a new terminal promised by the regional government. In summer 2025 scheduled flights linked Orsk with Moscow Sheremetyevo, St. Petersburg and Sochi.
