Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN) is located 16 km northwest of Gdańsk city centre, near the village of Rębiechowo. It serves the Tricity metropolitan area — Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gdynia — on Poland's Baltic coast. The airport ranks third in Poland by passenger volume, handling nearly 7.4 million passengers in 2025, behind Warsaw Chopin and Kraków John Paul II International.

The airport operates from a single passenger terminal (Terminal 2), opened in 2012 and expanded in 2014–2015 and 2019–2022. It handles both Schengen and non-Schengen flights, with nine jet bridges. Low-cost carriers dominate traffic: Wizz Air accounts for 44% of passengers and Ryanair for 37%, together providing over 90 scheduled routes to 27 European countries. LOT Polish Airlines and Lufthansa serve the remaining share of scheduled traffic.

A rail link connects the airport directly to Gdańsk's main railway network, making it one of the better-connected regional airports in Poland. The single runway (11/29, 2,800 m) is equipped with ILS CAT IIIb capability, allowing operations in low-visibility conditions.
