Manohar International Airport guide

Manohar International Airport began commercial service on 5 January 2023, following a formal inauguration on 11 December 2022, as Goa's second airport alongside the older Dabolim Airport near Vasco da Gama. It sits at Mopa in Pernem taluka, North Goa, about 35 km north-east of the state capital, Panaji, and was built at a reported cost of around ₹3,000 crore.

GMR Goa International Airport Limited, a subsidiary of GMR Airports, developed and operates the airport under a 40-year design-build-finance-operate-transfer public-private partnership; the facility is named after Manohar Parrikar, the late Goa chief minister and Indian defence minister. Phase one was designed for 4.4 million passengers a year, and traffic has outgrown that: about 4.6 million passengers used the airport in the 2024-25 financial year and 5.38 million in 2025-26, a 15.8% rise, while aircraft movements climbed 21% to 38,111.

The single runway is 3,750 metres long and 60 metres wide, a code E facility able to take wide-body aircraft. The Integrated Passenger Terminal was designed by Nordic Office of Architecture and draws on Goan influences, including azulejo tiles and a food court styled as a traditional Goan cafe. Kadamba Transport Corporation buses link the airport to Panaji, Mapusa and Margao.
