Dewadaru Airport guide

Dewadaru Airport is a small public airport on Kemujan Island in the Karimunjawa archipelago, in Jepara Regency, Central Java. It is the only airport in the islands and gives visitors an alternative to the ferry from Jepara across the Java Sea.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, 13/31, about 1,400 m long and 30 m wide. It was lengthened in 2014 so that ATR 72 turboprops could land. Because of the runway length, an ATR 72 on the Semarang route carried only about 50 of its 72 seats on the return flight. Local authorities have proposed a further extension.

Susi Air began scheduled flights on 4 July 2025, linking Karimunjawa with Semarang and Yogyakarta three times a week on Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft. Services are infrequent and depend on weather and demand, so check the schedule with the airline before booking ground transport on the islands.
