Perales Airport guide

Perales Airport (ICAO: SKIB) is the main airport of Tolima department in central Colombia. It sits at about 914 m above sea level, roughly 9 to 11 km east of Ibagué, and handles domestic scheduled flights only.

The airport is owned and run by Aerocivil, Colombia's civil aviation authority. A rebuilt passenger terminal of 11,000 square metres, a new control tower and a fire station were completed under a COP 97,000 million investment, and commercial operations at the new terminal began in October 2018 with an Avianca flight. Aerocivil projected about 60,000 passengers a year through the new building.

Service is on a single asphalt runway, 14/32, 1,800 m long. Aerocivil's master plan notes that the runway length and obstacles limit Airbus A320 operations, and it proposes an extension. Avianca and LATAM Colombia fly to Bogotá, and Clic connects Ibagué with Bogotá and Medellín.
