Obando Cesar Gaviria Trujillo Airport guide

César Gaviria Trujillo Airport (ICAO SKPD) is the commercial airport of Inírida, the capital of Guainía department in eastern Colombia. It was formerly known as Obando Airport and now carries the name of César Gaviria Trujillo, a former president of Colombia and Secretary General of the Organization of American States. The airfield sits about 2 kilometres east of the town.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, 17/35, roughly 1,940 metres long. Airport works delivered in 2015 widened the strip from 22.5 to 30 metres and repaved it in full.

Scheduled service is run by SATENA, the state-owned regional carrier. It flies to Bogotá every day of the week and to Villavicencio on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. All flights are domestic, and a single passenger terminal handles every SATENA departure and arrival. The airport has no other scheduled routes listed by the carrier, so travellers connect through Bogotá or Villavicencio to reach the rest of Colombia.
