Nanchong Gaoping Airport guide

Nanchong Gaoping Airport (ICAO ZUNC) serves the city of Nanchong in northeastern Sichuan Province, in the Gaoping district east of the urban core. It is a joint military and civil airfield with a single concrete runway, 06/24.

The airport handled about 1.07 million passengers and 16,002 aircraft movements in 2025, plus 2,480 tonnes of cargo. Passenger traffic was about 593,000 in 2022, so volumes have grown quickly. Flights are domestic and link Nanchong with hubs and large cities such as Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Pudong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Kunming and Lhasa.

Terminal 2 opened in December 2019 with three boarding bridges and replaced the original terminal, which was closed. A larger Terminal 3 of about 26,000 square metres is part of a third-phase expansion due for completion by the end of September 2026.
