Luzhou Yunlong Airport guide

Luzhou Yunlong Airport serves Luzhou in southeastern Sichuan province. It sits in Yunlong town, Lu County, on the boundary with Longmatan District, about 17 km north of the city centre. The airport is dual-use, shared by civilian and military aviation.

Planning began in October 2013 with a budgeted investment of 2.77 billion yuan, and construction started on 5 November 2016. The airport opened on 10 September 2018 and took over every flight from the older Luzhou Lantian Airport. It is classed 4D and handles Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft from a single 2,700 m concrete runway, designated 07/25.

The terminal building was designed with a separate international area of 8,000 m2, which was not yet in operation at last report, so part of it has been used for domestic flights. A renovation in 2020 prepared the building for joint inspection units. The apron has ten aircraft stands, and eight aerobridges connect aircraft to the terminal.

Traffic reached 2.38 million passengers in 2025 and cargo reached 7,007 tonnes. Scheduled routes run to cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Kunming and Xi'an, with seasonal and leisure routes to Sanya, Lijiang and Xishuangbanna.
