Zhengzhou Metro operates the city's urban rail network, including the Chengjiao line linking downtown Zhengzhou with Xinzheng International Airport. Xinzheng Airport station sits within the airport's Ground Traffic Center, offering direct underground access to the terminal building. The line runs onward through the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone before reaching central interchange stations near Nansihuan.

China Railway Zhengzhou Group operates the Zhengzhou-Xinzheng Airport intercity railway, a dedicated rail link connecting Xinzheng International Airport with central Zhengzhou and, since a June 2022 extension, with Zhengzhou Hangkonggang station in the Airport Economy Zone. The route calls at Nancao and Mengzhuang between Zhengzhou East and the airport, giving passengers a direct rail alternative to road transport between the airport and the city. Tickets are sold through the national rail booking platform.
