Xinyang Minggang Airport guide

Xinyang Minggang Airport serves the city of Xinyang in southern Henan Province. It sits in Minggang town, Pingqiao District, about 45 km from central Xinyang and roughly 48 km from Zhumadian. The airport opened to passenger flights on 28 October 2018. It handles civil traffic and also has military use.

The airfield has one runway, 07/25, which is 2,700 m long and 50 m wide and rated 4C. That suits narrow-body jets on regional routes. The terminal covers about 5,000 square metres.

Traffic is small and focused on domestic routes. The airport handled 303,868 passengers and 2,862 aircraft movements in 2025. Scheduled carriers include China Eastern Airlines, Air Chang'an, GX Airlines and Okay Airways. Flights link Xinyang with Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Haikou. Travellers from both Xinyang and Zhumadian use the airport, which has a single passenger terminal and no international services. Every route is domestic, so all passengers use the same terminal building and the one runway.
