Yichun Mingyueshan Airport guide

Yichun Mingyueshan Airport serves the prefecture-level city of Yichun in western Jiangxi province. It sits in Hutian Town, Yuanzhou District, about 6 km in a straight line from the urban area, and takes its name from nearby Mingyue Mountain, a scenic area and hot-spring destination. The ICAO code is ZSYC.

Construction began on 26 July 2009. The airport was first scheduled to open in 2011 and began commercial flights on 26 June 2013. It was Capital Airports Holding Group's 36th airport. The airfield has one concrete runway, 06/24, measuring 2,400 m by 45 m, three aircraft stands and an apron of about 23,000 square metres.

The passenger building covers about 7,160 square metres. The original design capacity was 200,000 passengers a year and 1,200 tonnes of cargo. Traffic passed that level quickly, and annual passengers exceeded 500,000 in 2017. In 2025 the airport handled 478,269 passengers, 5,325 aircraft movements and 50.3 tonnes of cargo.

Scheduled flights in the 2025 summer and autumn season linked Yichun with about 15 cities on eight routes. Hainan Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Tibet Airlines, Lucky Air, Capital Airlines and West Air operate them, with Beijing, Shenzhen, Chongqing and Guangzhou among the destinations.
