Jiansanjiang Shidi Airport guide

The airport sits in Qixing Farm, Fujin City, in Jiamusi prefecture of eastern Heilongjiang. It serves Jiansanjiang, the administrative centre of the Heilongjiang state farm region, about 15 kilometres away. The area is a major rice-growing plain known as the Sanjiang Plain, and the airport carries the Shidi (wetland) name for the nearby marshes.

The State Council and the Central Military Commission approved the project on 31 July 2013. Construction began in April 2016, a test flight landed in June 2017, and the airport opened to scheduled traffic on 29 October 2017. Its single runway, 15/33, is 2,500 metres long and 45 metres wide, class 4C, which handles narrow-body jets. The terminal building covers 3,000 square metres.

Traffic is small. The airport handled 71,460 passengers and 1,868 aircraft movements in 2021. Air China flies to Beijing Capital and Harbin, and Shandong Airlines links the airport with Dalian and Qingdao.
