Ottawa / Gatineau Airport guide

Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport (ICAO CYND) lies in the east of Gatineau, Quebec, across the Ottawa River from the Canadian capital. The airport sits at an elevation of 64 m (211 ft) and has one asphalt runway, 09/27, measuring 1,829 m (6,000 ft) by 46 m (150 ft). The airport says the centres of the region's cities are 15 to 20 minutes away.

The airport is a general aviation and executive aviation base rather than an airline hub. Canada Border Services Agency staff clear general aviation aircraft carrying up to 15 passengers, and the airport handles charter and executive flights. On the ground it offers fuel sales, aircraft maintenance, hangar rentals, de-icing and flight planning. A flight school and training centre operate on site, and tenants include Go SkyDive, Hélicraft 2000, International Pilot Academy and Select Aviation College. Vintage Wings of Canada, a non-profit that uses vintage aircraft to teach youth, is based here.

The City of Gatineau owns the airport assets and the Corporation de l'Aéroport Exécutif Gatineau-Ottawa operates it. The airport hosts the annual Aero Gatineau-Ottawa air show. Most residents of the region use Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport or Montréal-Trudeau for scheduled airline service.
